ART BANK 2009 Call to Artists

Deadline: Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 5:30 pm

The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities is purchasing artwork to be part of the District of Columbia’s 2009 Art Bank Program. The Art Bank is a growing collection of moveable works funded through DC Creates Public Art Program.

Works in the collection are owned by the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and are loaned to other District government agencies for display in public areas of government buildings. This collection helps preserve the city’s past and is an important legacy for future generations. Currently, nearly 2000 artworks are on display in over 150 District government agencies. This is an opportunity for artists to exhibit their work as part of our continued commitment to supporting our vibrant artistic community and its excellence.
